About the company
Anna Aro has previously worked with site-specific performances and is looking to create performances ever nearer to the audience. This group constellation is new, with everyone bringing in their own artistic ideas with the ambition of integrating circus, dance, performance, music and street art. The artists come from different specializations of innovative art with experiences of innovative artistic interaction with place and audience.
About the performance
Gården (roughly meaning: The Courtyard) is a multidisciplinary and site-specific performance created in and together with a council estate courtyard in Rinkeby, a suburb of Stockholm. A festive mash-up of circus, dance, graffiti, performance and live music, where several artists create an entertaining and distinctive experience. A universe where many worlds meet in humor, poetry, and the exhilaration of circus. Premiered in September 2021 and now looking to be re-created with new council estates.
