HUMAN IN BALANCE
Europe is balanced precariously, and we watch its tipping points with anxiety. Humanity is being dissolved in this toxic shock of the new Europe. Don Gnu present an exploration of the European citizen’s condition with Humans in Balance, in which they explore the current situation in a work of acrobatic dance theatre that pulsates and dynamically shifts on a huge balance board. Human in Balance was developed in the framework of the European Capital of Culture, and was nominated for the prestigious Reumert Award in 2017.

The artistic company
Don Gnu is a Danish company working in the intersection of dance, contemporary circus and physical theatre. It is one of the most touring companies in Denmark, presenting about 100 performances a year, both nationally and internationally. The use of humor, work with characters and a live music is some of the elements that make Don Gnu´s performances accessible for audiences with little experience from theatre, and is also why it is often a success at festivals.
