Welcome to Subcase
Subcase is a contemporary circus meeting, a place for presenters to discover contemporary circus, meet the artists, and get inspired and learn more about the art form.
The programme consists of pitch presentations with no less than 17 Swedish and 9 Nordic/Baltic circus companies, as well as seminars on current circus topics. Subcase presents productions for both smaller and larger venues, for Swedish and international touring, for different target audiences and from various artistic genres.
Subcase is held 17-19 February 2022. The meeting will be held both digitally and live, in both Swedish and English through simultaneous interpretation.
Subcase kicks off its twelfth edition in conjunction with the circus festival CirkusMania, which offers a wide-ranging public programme of circus performances.
Programme
Subcase day programme takes place 17-19 February digitally and live in Subtopia.
Seminars on Thursday February 17th will only take place digitally.
Pitch presentations on Friday February 18th and Saturday February 19th will take place live and be live streamed.
It will be possible to meet artists online and also on site.
Moreover, participants are offered the online workshop The Huddle 14-15 February, and a guided tour of Cirkus Cirkör and Manegen.
Subcase does not organise evening mingles, but propose Reimersholme Hotel as an informal meeting place in the evenings.
The performance programme of the CirkusMania festival around the dates of Subcase are marked in blue italics in the schedule below. Performances in CirkusMania will not be streamed, they can only be experienced live on site.

Subcase is an industry event specifically aimed at Swedish and international presenters and representatives of venues or organizations that present or support performing arts. Subcase is not open to the general public.
